The official poster for Armageddon has been released which features Batista in a screaming pose. Usually, posters are a good indication as to where the WWE is going in terms of the main event or storylines, but sadly, this poster really means nothing. Batista is expected to be out of action during Armageddon and return around No Way Out 2006. The original plans for Armageddon were for another match to occur between Eddie Guerrero and Batista or perhaps a Triple Threat throwing Randy Orton into the mix, but with Guerrero’s death and Batista’s injury, all speculation has been thrown out the window.
As far as other plans for Armageddon are concerned, Chris Benoit and Booker T are expected to continue their program and Matt Hardy is almost certain to go with Randy Orton. Orton has asked to be paired with Hardy backstasge so the plan was being talked about. With Orton probably winning the belt, this plan may change as WWE may not want Hardy in a main event, but with the lack of main event stars, this could be the perfect opportunity for WWE to make some new ones.
Armageddon is definitely a PPV that has been turned upside down over the death of Guerrero and injury of Batista, and as we get more rumors and spoilers on the event, we will be posting them here.
