This will not be my usual column and in a little bit you will see why I’m saying that.
There is no need to do my Raw thoughts, since the show’s tribute to Eddie Guerrero was done with nothing but class. Last night’s show was outstanding. Raw showed just how loved Eddie was and I know from reading the Smackdown spoilers that Smackdown will be just as emotional as Raw if not more so.
I thought about doing something about some of my favorite Eddie moments. But I was topped. Topped by so many of you. I have received over 300 emails since WWE.com posted Eddie’s death and many of you have shared your feelings with me. I cannot tell you how wonderful the emails have been and I thought since it would be impossible for me to post them all why not start a blog? This way anyone that wants to share their thoughts on Eddie Guerrero will be able too, and so many of us can go there and read them. If you are interested please go to http://wrestlingtalk.blogsource.com. There are already two very nice posts up. So I really hope you’ll check them out.
Now I’m ending with something very upsetting, typical but down right disgusting. It seems that there are a few morons, oh what the hell assholes that are put out by Eddie’s death. These so called men have shown just how ignorant they are. John Dennis and a Gerry Callahan, who are radio DJs from WEEI 850 AM Sports Radio were ragging Guerrero for probably using steroids, and in addition to making fun of Guerrero, they also decided to include the late Owen Hart in their insensitive comments by saying that “Well, at least he (Guerrero) didn’t fall out of the rafters like some of them do…SPLAT!” Okay see this is BS and I think as fans of Eddie and wrestling we need to make our feelings heard. You can go to their site and contact them, www.weei.com/contactus.asp! OR you can phone the station at (617) 779-3500.
There is one more idiot named Colin Cowherd. He works for ESPN. He’s anti wrestling, DUH, and made a few choice comments about Eddie’s death, like, “Why couldn’t you put Eddie Guerrero’s picture in the obituary with a big mask on. He’d be like a wrestler. He passed away doing steroids.” There is a petition to get this guy fired and I’m all for it. I’m sick of so many of these main stream media jerks bashing something that they know nothing about. The link for the petition is http://www.petitiononline.com/firecc/petition.html,and you can also go to ESPN’s site, http://sports.espn.go.com/sitetools/s/contact/radio.html and email them. I’ve done both. I don’t know why so many have major problems about wrestling. They seem to think wrestlers aren’t human, and that wrestlers don’t have families. These people try so hard to degrade them but it’s men like the ones I mentioned above that are the lowest form of human life.
Okay let me end with a reminder. I’m talking about the tribute to Eddie on the Rita Cosby show on MSNBC. It’s on at 9 EST. This is big; MSNBC having a tribute for Eddie tells you just how popular this man was. So try to catch the show.
