Samoa Joe issued an apology to fans over the quality of his match with Jushin Liger at TNA’s Bound for Glory PPV. He acknowledged that the match was less than expected, but stopped short of saying he felt it was bad.
“I apologize for those who felt my encounter with Liger was not up to par,” he wrote on his Livejournal.
The match was only 7 minutes and was widely derided for not being as good as expected. The matches on the show were largely rushed, partly due to the loss of Kevin Nash, who went to the hospital the night before due to complaints of chest pain.
“TNA wanted (the match to be up to par), but circumstances sometimes effect the outcome of everything on the show,” Joe added cryptically. “I will commit myself to make it up to you the fans in the coming weeks.”
