Promoters of next month’s Universal Uproar supershow in the UK have this evening finally announced that several of the line-up for their show in Coventry, England on November 12 have been pulled due to TNA holding their Genesis PPV the following night in Orlando, FL.
Wrestlemag reported way back in August that TNA would be pulling talent from the show due to their PPV the following night. Although there are flights out of England to Orlando on a Sunday, it was never realistically possible to fly wrestlers on an eight hour flight into Florida to get them to Orlando just hours before a PPV – and that’s without any travel delays. Promoters released a statement tonight stating that problems only arose in the past few weeks and that the talented caught up in this were not fully aware of the situation. They also said that for the future, they had told TNA they would require five month’s advance notice of PPV dates.
AJ Styles, Rhino, Spike Dudley and Austin Aries were all scheduled to be part of the UK show and have now been replaced by The Sandman, D-Lo Brown, Low Ki and Joe Legend. As we reported earlier in the month, Spike Dudley has already been pulled from other UK appearances in November as he was scheduled to appear at Genesis with TNA.
Sonjay Dutt is still being advertised as appearing on the show, as is Homicide who is heavily rumoured to be heading into TNA shortly.
