PRIDE will present another deep tournament Sunday night on American PPV, a four-hour tape delay broadcast from the Ariake Colisum Japan. The show will be available on satellite dishes in the US and in Canada, but for people with cable, it won’t be airing.
The welterweight tournament includes: Phil Baroni vs. Ikuhisa “Punk” Minowa, Masanori Suda vs. Mulrilo Bustamante, Ryo Chonan vs. Dan Henderson, and Akihiro Gono vs. Daniel Acacio. Plus, Ryuta Sakurai vs. Paulo Filho as the reserve bout.
The lightweight tournament includes: Takanori Gomi vs. Tatsyua Kawajiri, Naoyuki Kotani vs. Luis Azereddo, Hayato “Mach” Sakurai vs. Jens Pulver, and Yves Edwards vs. Joachim Hansen. The reserve match is Dokonojonosuke Mishima vs. Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett.
