The up-and-coming game company, M& C Gaming, has recently released its first of many games, the first of which being a wrestling board called Submission.
According to maker Chris Holley of M & C Gaming, “Submission is the brand new ‘beat the clock/wrestling trivia’ game that will provide wrestling fans with hours of excitement. With 6 modes of game play, built in mini-games and unpredictable ‘Tap Out’ cards, players will put their wrestling knowledge to the test in hours of over-the-top action!”
This is one of the very few wrestling board games ever made not by a major wrestling promotion (i.e. WWF/E or WCW) and it has to be noted that while independently made, the game is as professional looking as any board game you would find in any store. Even more, during the time that Matt Hardy spent away from the WWE earlier this year, he took part in the game cutting promos for it and even having a special Tap Out card designed for him. In special boxes of “Submission,” there are authentic autographed cards of the Twist of Fate Tap Out card by Matt Hardy himself.
In a recent interview, Chris Holley talked about the difficulties of making the game, why he expected it to succeed, the hardship of getting the game to the masses, and his overall opinion on playing the game. To listen to this interview conducted with Chris Holley, click here.
The game has been out for little under two months and has already impressed many in sales. While you will not find it in a store near you, “Submission” is being sold at local wrestling shows as well as on-line. “Submission” is unique in its originality, innovation, and overall enjoyment and every last review of this exciting new game has been nothing short of overly positive.
