Will Trish Stratus ever come back to Raw or will it be another case of ‘creative has nothing’? Who will get to beat Matt Hardy tonight?
We are live from Little Rock, Arkansas and your announcers are Jim ‘BBQ Razorback’ Ross, Jonathan ‘Why do I need to go to the Excelsior Hotel’ Coachman, and Jerry ‘Where was the adult section in the Bill Clinton Library’ Lawler.
We start off with our first match of the night, Big Show versus Edge (with Lita and briefcase). Edge with a go behind, but Show with the Andre the Giant butt bump that sends Edge to the mat. Edge with a side head lock, but Show lifts Edge up and connects with a shoulder tackle off the ropes. Edge with a kick to Show’s stomach and then he tries to work on Show’s arm. However, Show lifts Edge up and places him groin first on the top rope and then shakes the rope as Edge goes down. Show with the Shhhh chop and Edge rolls outside the ring. Edge drops Show’s throat across the top rope, but Show pushes Edge down. Edge with a drop kick to Show’s knee and then he connects with a series of forearms. Edge tries for a tornado DDT, but Show throws him down. Show sets up for a choke slam, but he released the hold because from out of nowhere, Gene Snitsky comes out and Show goes after him. Show takes down Edge and the ref calls for the bell as Snitsky attacks Show. From out of nowhere, Matt Hardy comes out and goes after Edge. Eric Bischoff comes out and he has a mic. He reminds us that he is the general manager of Raw, and this is not how the show is going to start. Eric says that they will have a tag match. Show pulls Edge into the ring and Matt punches Edge. Matt punches Edge in the corner. Edge with an Irish whip, but Matt moves when Edge charges into the corner. Matt comes off the ropes with a running clothesline. Matt tries to get Edge up for a piledriver, but Edge counters with a back body drop. Edge with a punch to Matt in the head. Edge misses a drop kick and then Matt catapults Edge into the turnbuckle and then Matt with a cover. Show tags in and he chops Edge in the corner and then chokes him with the boot. Show sends Edge into the corner and Matt tags back in. Matt punches Edge followed by a hard Irish whip that sends Edge onto the top turnbuckle. Matt kicks Edge while he is on the turnbuckle. Show tags in and he kicks Edge off the turnbuckle to the floor. Lita and Gene check on Edge as we go to commercial.
We are back and Edge with an arm bar submission on Matt. During the commercial Matt tries for a move off the turnbuckle, but Edge drops Matt’s arm on the rope. Matt punches Edge and then Matt comes off the ropes into a big boot from Edge. Edge with a single arm DDT and then he stands over Matt while the ref is distracted by Show. Edge wrings Matt’s arm around the ring post. Snitsky tags in and he connects with a double sledge followed by snake eyes. Snitsky with a boot to Matt’s arm followed by an elbow drop. Edge tags in and puts Matt in a cross arm breaker. Snitsky tags in and he kicks Matt in the head. Snitsky gets Matt up, but Matt counters with an inverted DDT and both men are down. Matt gets close to the corner, but Edge tags in and he takes care of Show. Show comes in and he knocks Edge down with a head butt before hitting a spinebuster on Snitsky. Show clotheslines Edge over the top rope to the floor. Show goes for a big boot on the ringside barrier, but Show misses when Edge moves. Edge hits Show with the briefcase. Matt with a Side Effect on Snitsky. Gene with an Irish whip, but he charges into Matt’s boots. Matt with a leg drop from the second turnbuckle. Lita grabs Matt’s legs and he goes outside after Lita. Matt chases Lita into the ring and Matt has Lita set for a Twist of Fate, but Edge charges at him and Matt kicks Edge. Matt tries for a Twist of Fate on Edge, but Lita with a kick to Matt’s groin and Edge with a spear for the three count. After the match, Edge punches Matt and then he gives Matt to Lita who hits a Twist of Fate on Matt. We go to commercial.
We are back and Shawn Michaels comes out to be interviewed by Todd ‘Paula Jones Junior’ Grisham. Todd wants to show the footage of what happened last week in the Master Lock Challenge and we see it. Todd wants to know what Shawn is thinking sine we are six days from Unforgiven. There is a part of him that wants to get upset, but there is another part of him that wonders what he was thinking. He talks about how big Chris Masters is and how nobody has broken the Master Lock. Last week, Shawn sits in the chair to take Chris’s best move, and then he mentions that there was no money on the line. Shawn wants to know why he did that. He did it because he is the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. He believes that he is untouchable. He is Teflon and he can do things that nobody else can do. That is what sets him apart from everyone else. That is why Chris Masters picked Shawn Michaels. That is why he decided to bust open Shawn’s head with a steel chair. At Unforgiven, he will have the opportunity to step in the ring with the Showstopper, but that was not enough for Chris. Chris took it a little too far, and that was his big mistake. Shawn says that he became famous for taking things one step too far. Tonight, Chris will have his hands full with, from out of nowhere; we hear a series of woooos as Ric Flair comes out. Flair says that Masters will have his hands full with him. Masters might be strong, but nobody knows more than Flair. Flair wants to know if Masters can go one-on-one with the dirtiest player in the game. Flair hopes that Carlito is listening because for the first time, Ric Flair will become the Intercontinental champion. Shawn wants to know if Masters will be able to put on the Master Lock when he is eating ten inches of leather after some Sweet Chin Music.
We see footage from last week’s Kurt Angle/Eugene match followed by John Cena’s interference after the match as well as Tyson Tomko. Then we saw Kurt Angle attack John Cena after John’s match with Tyson Tomko. We go to commercial.
We are back and it is time for our next match Kerwin White versus Shelton Benjamin. Before the match we see footage from last week’s match between Rob Conway and Shelton Benjamin that saw Kerwin get involved in the match. Kerwin hangs up his sweater vest. Benjamin with a go behind and a waist lock take down. Kerwin gets to the ropes. Benjamin with a side head lock take down followed by a shoulder tackle. Kerwin with a kick and punches to Benjamin followed by a shoulder tackle. Benjamin with a kip up and a punch. Kerwin goes under a boot, but Benjamin with a slam followed by a sliding clothesline to Kerwin. Benjamin punches Kerwin followed by an Irish whip. Kerwin with a missile drop kick from the second turnbuckle. Kerwin kicks Shelton and then he goes for the hanger. Kerwin tells the ref to put down the hanger and Kerwin takes off his shirt and chokes Benjamin while the ref hangs up the sweater vest in the corner. Benjamin with elbows to Kerwin, but Kerwin with a knee. Benjamin with a Samoan drop followed by punches. Benjamin with a back elbow followed by a clothesline and gets up Kerwin for a slam, but Kerwin escapes. Benjamin with a back breaker. Benjamin with a back body drop, but Kerwin with a jaw breaker. Benjamin with the dragon whip that sends Kerwin out of the ring. They return to the ring and Kerwin hits Benjamin with the golf club and the ref calls for the bell.
Kurt Angle is in the back and he reminds us that he is an Olympic gold medalist and a 4 time champion. He is the greatest wrestler in the world. Eric Bischoff, the fans, and John Cena know it. Kurt says that John looks in the mirror and he knows that Angle is better. John has his rap and acting career, but he will have the WWE title to think about. Angle says that he holds Cena’s future in his hands. Angle asks Cena to think about what the most vicious son of a bitch can do to him. We go to commercial.
We are back with the Slam of the Week: Torrie Wilson and Ashley in the Ashtacular match of the year.
Victoria, Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle come to the ring. Candice gets a mic and she says that they have had so much fun with Ashley over the past few weeks. She wants Ashley to come out for some more fun, as well as a surprise. Ashley comes out, but not to the ring. Torrie wants to let Ashley know that she finally passed her initiation and wants to show her how happy they are to have her on Raw. Ashley says that she is going to come to the ring, but not alone. She comes out with Trish Stratus. Trish comes out and hits a Louise Thesz Press on Victoria. Torrie grabs Trish by the hair. Ashley with a spear to Candice and they go outside the ring. Trish with a matrix and Victoria clotheslines Torrie. Trish with a chick kick to Victoria. Ashley with a clothesline to Candice. We go to commercial.
We are back with the WWE Rewind: Ric Flair grabbing Carlito in his ‘apples’.
It is time for our next match, Ric Flair versus Chris Masters (with Golden Shower version 4.0). Before they lock up, Flair struts and woooos. Flair with a side head lock, but Masters with a shoulder tackle. Masters with another shoulder tackle and Flair backs into the corner while Masters woooos and mocks Flair. Flair with a side head lock into a hammer lock and then he slaps Masters in the head before mocking Masters. Masters misses a punch in the corner and Flair connects with a chop. Flair with a kick to Masters followed by chops. Masters with a press slam to Flair and then he does it again. Masters signals for the Master Lock, but Flair rolls to the apron. Masters suplexes Flair back into the ring. Flair chops Masters, but Masters with a punch to Flair followed by a boot. Flair with more chops to Masters, but Masters with a chop and punches of his own. Masters with an Irish whip and then he is met with a clothesline from Masters. Masters chokes Flair, but Flair with an eye poke followed by a kick and chop. Flair with another chop and Masters goes down. Flair chops Masters and then he goes to the apron and climbs the turnbuckle. Masters stops Ric Flair and press slams him to the mat. Masters with a powerslam and then he takes his time before he continues the attack. Masters tries to lock in the Master Lock, but Flair is able to get out of the hold before it can be applied. Masters clotheslines Flair over the top rope to the floor. Masters drops Flair’s throat on the top rope and Flair goes down to the apron again. Flair pulls Masters out and Irish whips him into the ringside barrier and he chops Masters. Flair punches and chops Masters. Masters with a side slam on the floor. We go to commercial.
We are back and Chris Masters has Ric Flair in a bear hug before backing Flair into the corner and connecting with shoulders. Masters with an Irish whip and back body drop. Masters returns to the bear hug. Flair bites Masters to get out of the bear hug. Masters pushes Flair to the mat. Masters goes to the bear hug for a third time. The ref checks Flair’s arm and it goes down two times, but Flair will not let it go down a third time. Flair punches Masters to get out of the hold and then Flair with chops and punches to Masters. Masters throws Flair down again. Flair goes after Masters’s knee and starts to work on the leg. Flair with kicks to Masters’s leg followed by chops and punches. Flair bites Masters face and then he struts before chopping Masters one more time. Masters grabs Flair by the throat, but Flair punches him. Flair puts Masters in the figure four, but from out of nowhere, Carlito comes in and he hits Flair with the belt and then kicks Flair. From out of another nowhere, Shawn Michaels comes out and he punches Carlito before hitting a reverse atomic drop on Carlito. Michaels knocks Masters and Carlito down before hitting Sweet Chin Music on Carlito. Masters sends Michaels into the ring post twice before putting Michaels in the Master Lock. Masters stands over Michaels.

We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of Carlito’s interference in the Flair/Masters match as well as Masters putting Michaels in the Master Lock.
It is time for our next match, Eugene and Tajiri versus Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade. We see footage from last week’s victory against Rosey and Hurricane. Tajiri and Murdoch start things off. Murdoch with a side head lock on Tajiri, but Tajiri with punches to Murdoch. Murdoch with a shoulder tackle followed by a slam. Tajiri gets out of a slam attempt and he hits a drop toe hold and kick followed by a monkey flip. Murdoch freaks out and Lance calms him down. Eugene tags in and so does Cade. Cade with an arm bar into a wrist lock. Eugene with a wrist lock take down followed by an airplane spin. Eugene and Cade go down. Murdoch comes in and he tries to clothesline Eugene, but Eugene ducks down and bites Murdoch. Eugene with a drop toe hold to Cade and then Eugene rides Cade. Murdoch holds Eugene and Murdoch drops him against the ropes and then Cade with a clothesline. Murdoch with a reverse atomic drop by Murdoch before Cade hits a swinging neck breaker. Murdoch with elbows to Eugene’s head. Murdoch chokes Eugene while Cade distracts the ref. Cade with a slam and Murdoch with an elbow drop. Cade tags back in and punches Eugene in the chest. Cade with a kick to Eugene, but Eugene with a back slide, but Murdoch distracts the ref. Cade with forearms to Eugene’s back. Murdoch with a kick to Eugene’s head followed by a slam. Murdoch goes up to the second turnbuckle, but Eugene gets his boots up. Eugene with a stunner to Murdoch. Tajiri and Cade tag in. Tajiri with kicks to Cade followed by the handspring elbow. Tajiri with a back kick to Murdoch. Tajiri with a tarantula to Cade, but Murdoch punches Tajiri to get him to release the hold. Eugene punches Murdoch. The ref is distracted by Eugene and that allows Murdoch to hit a sit out power bomb before Cade hits an elbow from the top turnbuckle for the three count. We go to commercial.
We are back and Lita is out with Edge. Lita says that Matt will fight adversity. The man will not hold Matt Hardy down. It was proven tonight, that the woman will hold Matt Hardy down. Everything can change with a cruel twist of fate. Edge gets the mic and says that Matt sounds like a preacher at a pulpit saying he will not die. Edge welcomes Matt to the Devil’s pulpit. He asks Matt what he has left. He took Matt’s woman. Matt lost his job. He might have gotten his job back, but it was at a price. Edge took care of Matt at SummerSlam. Matt paints himself as a hero and a ‘knight in shining armor’. This story does not end with him riding into the sunset. It ends at Unforgiven with him lying in the middle of a 15 foot steel cage. He wants Matt to see the woman who stole his heart and the man who tore it from his chest. It is time to kiss his career goodbye. Edge and Matt kiss.

Eric Bischoff is in the BischOffice and he is on the phone. He talks about some of the matches on the show, but John Cena enters the BischOffice. John wants to talk about the handicap match tonight. He says that he has had enough. He wanted to make an impact on Raw by being controversial. He says that he wants to be a part of the team, no matter how much it hurts him. Cena offers Bischoff the belt, but Cena pulls the belt back and calls Bischoff a stupid son of a bitch. He says that he is not going to let all of this hold him back. He will never quit and he does not back down. Cena with the Mick Foley Cheap Pop and then he tells Bischoff that the champ is here.
It is time for the main event, Kurt Angle and Tyson Tomko versus John Cena. Kurt comes to the ring first, and we go to commercial.
We are back and Tyson Tomko has arrived in the ring already. It is time for John Cena to come to the ring. Tomko starts things off and Tyson punches Cena. Cena with a take down and he punches Tomko. Cena ducks a clothesline, but Angle with a forearm to Cena’s neck off the ropes. Angle tags in and he connects with a European uppercut followed by punches and an Irish whip. Cena punches Angle and then he gives Angle an Irish whip followed by a side slam. Angle with a rake of the eyes and Tomko is tagged in. Cena with a cross body followed by a back elbow and clothesline. Cena knocks Angle off the apron and then he slams Tomko and hits an elbow drop. Cena with a baseball slide to Angle followed by punches to Tomko. Cena with an elbow to Angle, but Tomko with a boot to Cena’s head. All three men are down while Eric watches from the top of the stage. Tomko with a cover, but Cena kicks out. We go to commercial.
We are back and Angle kicks Cena and then chokes him with his boot. Angle with a snap mare and reverse chin lock. During the commercial Angle threw Cena over the announce table. We are back to live action and Cena gets back to his feet. Angle with forearms to Cena’s back and then he connects with a shoulder in the corner. Tomko is tagged in and he hits a running powerslam. Tomko with an Irish whip, but Cena with a boot and a clothesline from the second turnbuckle. Cena backs Tomko into the corner. While the ref is focused on Tomko, Angle comes in and hits a German suplex. Angle tags back in and Kurt kicks Cena followed by a knee lift. Angle punches Cena, but the ref pulls Angle off Cena. Angle with a European uppercut. Tomko tags back in and he kicks Cena followed by a cover. Tomko punches Cena and then tags in Angle. Angle with a suplex and a reverse chin lock. Cena with a belly-to-back suplex and both men are down. Tomko tags in and Cena blocks a punch and responds with some of his own. Cena with clotheslines followed by a hip toss slam, and T-bone suplex. Cena with a spinebuster to Angle. Cena gets Tomko up for the F-U, but Angle comes from behind and hits a German suplex while Tomko is still on Cena’s shoulders. Angle with a German suplex. Tomko with a boot to Angle when Cena moves. Cena with an F-U to Tomko for the three count. After the match, Angle kicks Cena followed by a rear chin lock and crossfaces to Angle. Angle with an arm bar submission followed by more crossfaces. Angle with a European uppercut to Cena. Angle chases the ref from the ring. Angle with the Angle slam to Cena and then he drops a knee to Cena’s groin. Angle pulls Cena to the corner and wrings Cena’s ankle into the ring post. Angle with a knee drop to Cena’s ankle. Angle stands over Cena while Bischoff gets in Cena’s face. We go to credits
