This week’s WWE.com preview of RAW is somewhat surprising to me. After having to waste another quarter of a million dollars this week, and having spent so much time promoting the Diva Search, they left that off as the last item on their preview. Not too good a job promoting when needed to, I guess. I hope Elisabeth wins! Knowing WWE’s logic, they probably will sign her and Leyla right away.
WWE.com puts a lot of attention on John Cena this week, as they preview his problems with Chris Jericho and Carlito. If you’ve forgotten, Jericho and Carlito team up tonight to take on Cena in a handicapped match. I am thinking they’ll have Cena overcome the odds one more time here, since they’ve already done the “babyface gets beat” bit when Jericho bloodied him up.
Kurt Angle faces Hulk Hogan tonight on RAW, which is the other item of interest in the official WWE.com RAW Preview. I would expect HBK and Eugene to be involved in some fashion here. Angle might have to do the job, but this will probably not end in a clean pinfall. It wouldn’t make sense for it to.
I don’t know what they’re doing with Shelton Benjamin, Chris Masters, Snitsky, and Big Show at SummerSlam, but at least two of those four guys should be involved in some kind of match at the PPV, and I would expect that to become official on RAW.
Trish Stratus did the house shows over the weekend, but I have gotten no word on her returning tonight. It could happen, however, but I would venture to think they’d save her return for either the PPV itself, or RAW the night after?
Rosey and Hurricane will most likely fight The Heartthrobs at the PPV, unless they switch it to a six-person match, also featuring Victoria and Stacy. That will also be probably finalized on RAW tonight if it’s happening on Sunday.
That will do it for this week.
