The man holding Kurt Angle’s medals last night during the “Kurt Angle Invitational” last night was none other than independant pro wrestler Mickey Gambino. (Thanks to AllProWrestling.tk)
TSN edited RAW heavily last night during the Edge/Kane stretcher match. Anytime it looked as though Kane would assault Lita, TSN cut to quick commercial breaks. They never showed the ending with the ambulance either. (Thanks to Mario R.)
The moving of the announcers table on RAW last night was a permanent decision. Some may have thought it was done to create space for the “Battle of the Bands” segment, but it is an official move back. The announcers will main a three-person squad, with them returning to the ring side area every week.
Next week’s RAW main-event will be John Cena defending the WWE title against Carlito. If Carlito wins, he will take Cena’s spot in the semi-main-event of SummerSlam against Chris Jericho.
The Diva Search segment on RAW next week will be a “Queen of the Mountain” competition. Whatever that means, but nice play on the Jeff Jarrett moniker in TNA.
And finally, Eugene will defend his Olympic gold medals next week during the first ever “Eugene Invitational,” where his first opponent will almost certainly be Kurt Angle.
