The parents of Brian Ong, a wrestling school student, were awarded about $1.34 million in a wrongful death lawsuit against Pacific Coast Sports (based in Hayward, CA), and its owner Roland Alexander. The reason given was that the jury felt the school acted recklessly in its coaching of an injured Ong before coming back, when he took a fatal flapjack bump from Dalip Singh, who was in the “Longest Yard.”
