Shinya Hashimoto passed away Monday morning around 9:30 am in Yokohama, Japan, at age 40. His death was believed to be due to a brain aneurism. He collapsed sudden, and was taken to the hospital where it’s believed he was dead on arrival. No further details are available at the moment.
Hashimoto had been out of action for several months due to a shoulder injury he was recovering from back in December. The fold-up of the original Zero-One promotion was another reason for his time off.
Alongside Hulk Hogan, Shinya Hashimoto was famous for having headlines more successful live events in the history of pro wrestling than anyone in the business. He’s, without a doubt, a real legend in the industry.
TBLWrestling.com offers our deepest condolences and feelings of sorrow to all of Shinya Hashimoto’s fans and family.
