WWE.com has plenty to offer as to what to expect to go down tonight on RAW.
Of course, the #1 topic in hand on the site’s review is the follow-up of Michaels’ super-kicking Hogan last week. This is going to be a very important promo. HBK needs to follow up on what was the most surprising moment on RAW this year. A strong promo here can solidify Michaels as a powerful heel, and having seen him in action in that role many times in the past, I have the feeling this could work very well. The program with Hogan will be a good one, and if you have any doubts about it due to Hogan being Hogan, then don’t doubt yourself. If Jericho and Angle can get good matches out of Hogan, so can Michaels. I would expect them to base the heel turn on the fact that HBK has never played second fiddle to anyone, and Hogan was no different. Like I talked about after RAW last week on here, for a heel to work out well, a real-life quality that fans can dislike about the wrestler playing the role must be brought out and exaggerated to the maximum. HBK’s arrogance is the way to go here. He can be a really good heel, as history has proved.
The other main topic WWE.com is giving a lot of push on, is of course the Diva Search. After last week’s “Bikini Boot Camp” challenge, Elisabeth can’t get eliminated. Tonight we find out which one of them goes! How exciting! I can’t wait! Not really.
There is going to be a Vengeance Rematch tonight on RAW, as Edge will take on Kane in a one-on-one bout. I am thinking that this is perhaps the last we hear from those two. Edge is going to work a program with Cena for SummerSlam, and I don’t know where Kane will be stuck next, but this storyline needs to end on Monday and it hopefully will. Edge should get the win here.
WWE’s website also mentions John Cena’s troubles with Chris Jericho as of late. I won’t be surprised if they announce a title match for next week between the two, or perhaps one even tonight on RAW. This short-lived program is supposed to give Cena the rub, and at the same time keep him busy until SummerSlam, where he’s supposed to meet Edge. Let’s see how they play that one off. Jericho is a good person to start with for Cena, because he’s going to get a good match out of the champion. However, a loss really hurts Y2J at this point in time, in my opinion. But, as Cena put it, he’s pretty much done by this point in time.
In the filler part of the show, I’m expecting more from “Kerwin White” this week. We could also hear from the tag champs, or Renee Durpee. Viscera or Chris Masters will also be added on there, as the usual low-card stuff. Let’s see if they pull a good show.
