For those of you who are still unaware of what went down at the last OVW taping from yesterday, Jim Cornette slapped an OVW talent – Johnny Basco – several times backstage, after Basco screwed up a major angle. He laughed during what was supposed to be a very serious “scary” angle to culminate a storyline. Visibly upset with him, Cornette crossed the line backstage.
Earlier today, as a result of that action, WWE officially released the former OVW “boss.” WWE.com didn’t expain the reasons, but simply noted that he’s added to the list of released superstars.
