In a little bit of a history lesson, the most popular professional wrestling arena in the state of Arizona – the Phoenix Madison Square Garden, is closing down. The arena has left its mark on the wreslting business, being the most popular one in the state for wrestling and boxing. Superstars such as Gorgeous George, Andre The Giant, Jody Arnold, and many other superstars from the golden age of pro wrestling have appeared there. It has also been the home of some of the best Latin American pro wrestlers, including local Tito Montez, who was a six-time Arizona Heavyweight Champion.
