Today I thought I would share with you one of my new draft theories. You all know how accurate I am about my theories. Then I would like to touch on a rumor that came out yesterday and I think if it turns out to be true it might be a cool thing. And finally have you ever noticed that when one of Vince’s guys does something wrong, meaning purposely hurts someone that wrestler seems to get pushed even more? Oh yeah there’s definitely a pattern with Vince on that subject. But first let me give you my latest theory on the draft.
We all know that Smackdown is lacking a few big names now that John Cena and Kurt Angle are on Raw. And true Taker showed up this past week, which gives the show a top baby face. However, is Undertaker going to be there on a weekly basis? See if I had to guess I would say no. But then again, I don’t know. So with the draft ending next week on June 30th, there is still plenty of time for trades to be made. Okay so here’s my thoughts of what I see happening. While I’m not sure who Raw will draft tomorrow night, and with Randy Orton now on Smackdown, something hit me. My first thought was with Orton on Smackdown, I immediately thought of Batista going there. This way Randy could keep his promise and go after Batista. Since it was Batista that “injured his shoulder and put him out because of surgery.” Yeah to me Batista going to that show was a given.
However, something hit me, I really believe that no matter how over Batista is, John Cena is way more over, and with so many stars on Raw, I think Cena will get traded back to Smackdown with the WWE title. My take is that Cena was moved to Raw to help build up Vengeance. Let’s face it, a dream match with Cena is taking place and by that I mean Christian finally gets a major title shot along with Chris Jericho. This is what the fans have wanted for a while. And that’s because Christian in the last few months has been so off the charts on the mic, and talking trash about Cena that I believe the majority of the fans have been waiting for this match. So why not set it up at Vengeance, and give the fans a little extra reason for ordering the show. I see Cena hanging on to the title and getting traded back to Smackdown. Now here’s where it gets tricky. My feelings are that he goes back to Smackdown and we are now looking at a Cena vs. Jericho feud. So either Jericho gets drafted to Smackdown, or Jericho demands a trade to the show to continue to go after Cena and the title. Yeah I’m comfortable with that. Well I was until I read the other day, that Booker T and Christian will be somewhere in Canada for a Smackdown press conference. That’s right, Christian. Now mind you it could mean nothing because things change all the time, OR, yeah it’s Christian that will go. If that happens I still feel John Cena will be back on Smackdown, but Chris Jericho will remain on Raw.
So let’s go over this again, in case there’s a test. Obnoxious aren’t I? John Cena will get traded back to Smackdown and Jericho or Christian will be going there too. And for my guess on who will get drafted to Raw tomorrow night? I say it’s going to be the Big Show. Why Big Show? I have no idea but like so many others I think he’s worked with most of the guys on Smackdown so why not send him to Raw. Wow a Viscera, Big Show feud. That would be BIG. Now for the big rumor that hit yesterday. Supposedly tomorrow in Phoenix where Raw will be, Vince is meeting with Sabu. The rumor goes on to say that Vince was very impressed with Sabu last week at One Night Stand. I say bring Sabu on, in fact I say bring back a lot of ECW guys. But back to Sabu. I know very little about Sabu out of the ring, but let’s face it when he’s out there he’s giving his all, and he will only add to Raw or Smackdown. But my thing is since this man is so HARDCORE I do not want to see Vince cut corners and make Sabu’s appearances semi hardcore. If you are going to sign Sabu then you use him to his fullest. I can’t wait to see what the outcome of the supposed meeting is. Maybe a Sabu signing is the start of more ECW guys to be signed by Vince, and I’m all for that.
Okay tell me this; doesn’t it seem the more someone on Vince’s roster abuses a talent the guy gets pushed even more? You know like when Bob Holly beat the crap out of Renee Dupree, Holly started showing up more on Smackdown. Granted he seemed to star on Velocity but Smackdown saw plenty of him. Or what about Randy Orton? Rochelle the former Smackdown diva really put it out there in an interview this past week. Remember it’s her side, but if it’s true, the things she said about Randy Orton make me wonder why this kid and I use the word kid because if she’s telling the truth he’s yet to grow up. But I wonder why Randy never got punished for coming off like a spoiled brat and ruining her clothes with tanning lotion and oil all because she didn’t know who he was. I mean why is such behavior basically condoned by Vince? By the way check out any site and I’m sure you can find Rochelle’s interview. And again it’s just her side of the story, Randy could be totally innocent, but right now it’s her side I’m going by. And now we have Bradshaw and his actions against Blue Meanie, Bradshaw beat Taker on Smackdown, okay it wasn’t a clean win but he won, he his featured on WWE.com plugging his radio show and the best one of them all? He will be doing some kind of alternate voice over on the One Night Stand DVD. And with this one he gets paid extra for doing. Some punishment uh? I guess as much as I’m tired of the way Matt Hardy has handled things, it’s so unfair that he got axed for going public, yet Bradshaw went public with goose-stepping in Germany, he’s been known to treat new talent brutally and now he went very public with the beating of the Blue Meanie. Yet this guy seems to be doing better than ever. Yeah the more that we on the internet bitch and complain about the way one of Vince’s guys behaves the more Vince seems to reward these guys. I guess if we all stopped writing about these disgusting items, Vince would be crushed. After all he LOVES controversy, but let’s face it it’s hard to ignore a bunch of ignorant people. It’s difficult to just let it slide.
So just a few things that I wanted to share with you. I watched Velocity last night and I loved seeing Juventud Guerrera vs. Funaki, and Super Crazy and Psicosis vs. Billy Kidman and Akio. I hope to God that the new signed talent find their way on to Smackdown and do not become regulars on Velocity. Tonight on Heat it’s Tajiri vs. Kid Kash, so I’m looking forward to that. Okay on to Raw in Phoenix and Kurt Angle vs. Batista. Oh this should be good. We also find out who will be the new member of Raw and oh boy the final 8 diva contestants show up. That’s the highlight of Raw. Hopefully that will be a short segment, God I hope so. I’ll be back on Tuesday with my Raw thoughts.
