WWE.com has three ideas in mind in their RAW preview for tonight. First off, more reactions to John Cena’s move to RAW, and how it will affect the show tonight, as he teams up with Chris Jericho to take on Christian and Tyson Tomko. This is actually going to be an interesting match, as there’s lots of possibilities as to what might end up happening off of it, or even during the match itself. A Jericho heel turn has been in the plans for a while, and he could very well turn here, especially since there’s the past with Christian. Otherwise, I would expect Cena to get the pin on Tomko, as they want, and at this point in time, MUST keep him strong. The fact that he’s on RAW is enough of a trouble for him to be considered second hand to Triple H and Batista.
The second thing WWE.com really wants you to know about is the fact that there’s going to be a second SmackDown! superstar joining the RAW roster tonight. Of couse, you knew that. Who is it going to be?! I really don’t know, since they’ve shocked us with last week’s beginning. My best bet is someone not so strong, so they can play it off that Bischoff had had a rough two days, plus with ECW hype and all, they can afford to have someone minor switch. Then again, they can still pull out the major guns and have someone like Angle change shows.
The third thing they want everyone to be aware of is that tonight Stone Cold Steve Austin returnst to RAW for “Stone Cold Court” which features the beheading of Hassan and Daivari and the final kill to their push. If WWE was smart, they’d have Hassan beat the crap out of Austin, but of course it’s going to be the other way around. We’ll see how it goes.
I don’t think they’re doing anything with ECW tonight on RAW, but there will certainly be some backlash from last night’s PPV. If Paul Heyman is still with the company tomorrow morning (I won’t be surprised if he’s fired), they might come up with something for him to do (probably have him get beat on TV as a payback?).
Chris Masters should be on this show. Not sure if we’re seeing the tag champs or the Hearth Throbes this week.
Triple H and Batista should get some solid TV time to get their feud going again before Vengeance. WWE has done ok here, but I don’t see this PPV doing a good number.
Kane’s storyline that nobody cares about and everybody hates will probably continue, as it adds more “depth” to his character, in Hollywood terms. In reality terms, it kills him thanks to their booking.
Let’s see what else goes down tonight!
