Brett Wingate has been hired by WWE in the role of Vice President/Creative Services, although his job description is very close to that of former employee Tom Chehak. Wingate will be overlooking the WWE creative team, and giving direction, from concept to execution of all creative material that’s a part of WWE in any way, shape, or form – from advertising, to merchandise, and online marketing.
The USA Network will be spending $8 million in a campaign to spread the word that Monday Night RAW is coming back on the network. This is the company’s first branding strategy since they got on the air 25 years ago. USA has a lot invested into RAW, as they’ll be getting the income from advertising on the show. Although WWE lost a lot of money by switching to USA, they gained a lot of network support. It could be a knife with two edges, though. You can read more about the $8 million campaign at THIS LINK, but you have to be a member of the TV Week site.
