Entire 2005 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony to be Included Featuring Hulk Hogan and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–May 9, 2005–World Wrestling Entertainment® will release a special 3-disc Collector’s Edition DVD of WrestleMania® 21 on Tuesday, May 10. The DVD will feature the complete 4-hour WrestleMania 21 event along with never before seen features such as outtakes and bloopers from the nine WrestleMania 21 “movie trailers” starring WWE Superstars from RAW® and SmackDown!®, Shawn Michaels(TM), Kurt Angle® & Undertaker® career retrospectives, Motorhead performance with Triple H®, and the first ever WrestleMania Battle Royal between the Superstars of SmackDown! and RAW.
The entire night of matches are included in the DVD, and some of the highlights are: World Heavyweight Championship (Triple H vs. Batista(TM)), WWE Championship (JBL(TM) vs. John Cena(TM)), Sumo Match (Big Show® vs. Akebono(TM)), Piper’s Pit with special guest Stone Cold Steve Austin(TM), and the Legend vs. Legend Killer match (Undertaker vs. Randy Orton(TM))
A momentous occasion of WrestleMania week was the 2005 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which saw Hulk Hogan(TM), “Rowdy” Roddy Piper(TM), “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff(TM), The Iron Sheik(TM), Nikolai Volkoff, “Cowboy” Bob Orton(TM), and “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart(TM) get their respective spots in the Hall Of Fame. The entire ceremony will be available on this DVD, much more than what was seen on Spike TV the night before WrestleMania 21.
History was made on April 3, 2005, as fans from 48 states and 14 countries converged on the sold-out STAPLES Center in Los Angeles to witness WrestleMania 21, while millions more witnessed the event live on pay-per-view. The event was highlighted by two championships changing hands, as John Cena defeated JBL to become SmackDown!’s WWE Champion, and Batista defeated Triple H to become RAW’s World Heavyweight Champion.
