– TNAWrestling.com posted some post-show notes following the TNA Lockdown PPV Sunday night. Obviously, the key injury that occurred at the PPV was to Chris Candido’s leg. Early indications are a broken ankle, but Candido was taken to a local hospital to get the official prognosis and the length of recovery necessary.
– Besides the obvious injuries to Abyss following a few thumbtack spots in his match against A.J. Styles, TNA’s website also revealed that Abyss separated his shoulder during the main event match. After the PPV, Abyss was able to walk around normally, but he had to have his shoulder iced down with a considerable amount of ice to prevent any further damage.
– For the PPV buyers who ordered Lockdown in hopes of seeing Kevin Nash, TNA’s website offered nothing in the way of a solid explanation as to why Nash failed to appear during the six-man Lethal Lockdown match or at any point during the PPV after the opening segment, which highlighted his knee injury. The official, short answer statement by TNA regarding Nash’s no-show was, “As a result of a staph infection in his leg, Kevin Nash was unable to compete tonight.”
