This is going to be a shocker for many of you, hey it shocked me, but I have ordered No Way Out. I haven’t ordered a Smackdown pay per view since October 2003. I just like the way this show has been built up and with Batista being a part of it, and a chance that Shawn Michaels could be there it’s a show that I don’t want to miss. I want to remind each of you once again that I got every Royal Rumble prediction right last month, see I have to say that because tonight there are three matches that I am not very sure about so I want to cover my ass. Okay let me hit you with my picks.
ROOKIE DIVA 2005 COMPETITION I’ll start with this one first, because it’s the most important match of the night. After all they sent this diva’s out during the cruiserweight match this past Thursday night. It doesn’t get bigger than that. Of course I’m being sarcastic and you have no idea how many readers emailed me saying this very same thing, who the hell cares about this one? In fact many of you didn’t even bother to give me a pick which I totally can understand. I’m going with Joy, and that’s that.
Winner: Joy
SIX-MAN CRUISERWEIGHT ELIMINATION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Paul London vs. Shannon Moore vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Spike Dudley vs. Akio vs. Funaki
I hope that we don’t get another parade of diva’s during this match. Yes this should be one of the top matches of the night. And it’s one that I can’t wait to see. I know each and everyone of these guys will look super in the ring. This is a match where almost anyone can win win, but I’m going with Paul London, only because he seems to be getting a small push. However, Funaki holding on would not surprise me.
Winner: Paul London
Tag Team Championship Match: Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio vs.The Bashams
I cannot see the Bashams losing this one. That might happen at Wrestlemania but tonight I think the Bashams will hang on to their titles. I do see Eddie turning on Rey, although again that could be put on hold until Wrestlemania. This should be another top match of the night, and I’m sure between Rey and Eddie the crowd will be totally into this one.
Winners: The Bashams
Booker T vs. John Heidenreich
This match has been added at least that’s what I’ve been reading. Here’s another tough one to pick. Heidenreich hasn’t won a ppv match ever I believe, so I would think this is his, however, I don’t think Booker has had much of a winning pay per view streak either. I’m going with Book but again I’m not that sure about my decision. I have no idea what to expect because Heidenreich in the ring hasn’t shown me much. Hopefully Booker will make things work.
Winner: Booker T
UNDERTAKER VS. LUTHER REIGNS
Props to Luther Reigns, I will give him partial credit for my decision to order the show tonight. In just two weeks Reigns managed to do what Heidenreich couldn’t do in all these months with Taker, make a feud with Taker exciting. Luther managed to make this a match that I have got to see. His mic work has been creepy which I love and in the ring he might not be the top wrestler but, I really believe that he will be a worthy opponent for Taker. I don’t know what’s going to happen maybe these two won’t click but I have a lot of faith that things will go well. I’m going with Taker BUT again this is my third match that has me puzzled. I definitely could see Luther beat the Phenom, but my first choice is to go with what I guess should be a sure thing.
Winner: Undertaker
NO. 1 contender tournament final: Kurt Angle vs. John Cena
Okay bring this baby on. Here’s the match that I really want to see. These two guys had a very good match over a year ago, with Angle the face and Cena the heel now with their roles switched I can’t see this being anything but extra good. If Kurt is in fairly decent shape just watch him bring the very best out in John Cena. John will win and go on to face JBL at Wrestlemania. I forgot to mention I’m expecting HBK to pop up and make Angle’s life a living hell. I think Shawn will help cost Kurt the match and then they will be all set to heat things up for Wrestlemania.
Winner: John Cena
Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match: WWE Championship: Big Show vs. JBL
JBL is going to win but it’s not going to be a pretty site. I see Dave Batista somehow able to get in there or do something just to get to JBL. I even feel Big Show will go all out to make the fans happy. I say this is the last championship victory for JBL, because when it’s time for Wrestlemania the WWE title will change.
Winner: JBL
There you have it, I want to thank everyone that has sent me your picks I have more to read and for those of you that will be ordering it like me here’s hoping that when the show ends we will feel that the $35.00 was well worth it. For those of you that won’t be watching do what I love to do just check the sites for results. I’ll be back on Tuesday with No Way Out and Raw thoughts. Also I just want to add that Caitlin emailed me and thought I might want to add this: Tuesday, February 22, 2005
