As promised, the ratings from Monday night are in, and there’s an interesting note. RAW did a 3.8 rating, but the big story was the debut of the UFC show, following RAW, that did a pretty solid 1.4 final rating. This is the highest rating anyone has done, having had RAW as a lead-in. Pretty good performance.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, reported the sad news of Pez Whatley’s death yesterday. Whatley was a high profile performer in the Georgia and Carolinas territories in the 80s. He passed away in a hospital in his hometown of Chattanooga. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.
Muhammad Hassan and Daivari‘s over-the-top gimmick has made front page headlines in the Middle East. You can read more about it here, but to sum it up in a world or two, there’s a lot of hatred for WWE and the two participants of this gimmick, as one would expect.
