Just like last September things are a little crazy around here. My computer the one that broke back in September is on the fritz again. I can use it only I don’t know when it will shut off without any warning. I’m happy to say that after speaking with a Dell agent I will be receiving a brand new lap top in 8-12 days. Now the second thing is far more serious. My mom suffered another stroke yesterday morning. She seems to be fairly alert, her speech is off and her mouth is twisted a little bit but she can talk and keep up with conversations. So I was unable to watch Impact today since I spent the entire afternoon with her. And last night because a Dell technician called me during Smackdown I was unable to follow the end of Eddie and Rey’s match and I missed a few other things. So I will just tell you what I saw. And once again Kurt Angle made Smackdown a hit for me. My husband even said he’s the Angle of old and because of that he’s not only great to watch but he’s really adding to the shows.
As I said I missed some of the opening match with Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio. But I liked what I saw, although I would have preferred more high flying moves and less holds but the match still was a good one. I couldn’t hear Carlito that much, but I could see that he was out there to get signatures on his petition to get rid of Theodore Long. While I can do without the petition thing watching CCC without sound still worked. You can see he’s just so into his character and that feeling is totally contagious. I loved how he took the petition to the ref while the Funaki vs. Akio was going on. He climbed up to the apron and expected the ref to sign it. Oh Carlito thinks he’s so IMPORTANT. I was watching the match while on hold with the Dell guy and Funaki and Akio did a super job out there, and it’s too bad it was such a short match. Finally I’m back and ready to watch the show. It is so good to see Paul Heyman. From what I have read on the sites, I better cherish his appearance on the show last night.
The rumor going around is that Paul was brought back for one show and then he’ll be gone for awhile. Remember he is allegedly on suspension for eavesdropping. Whatever the case, Paul did his job again by trying hard to put Heidenreich over. Heyman and Heidenreich wanted to change the casket match against Undertaker. It seems like the casket match is making Heidenreich real nervous. Paul did a nice job convincing Long. Long was all for a change. So Teddy granted a match with the idea if Taker would lose then the casket match would be off. And Long did his famous “YOU FEEL ME?” And Paul said I feel you. Just that one little line from Paul put a smile on my face. The guy was made to be on TV. Paul’s happiness ended when Long made the match a handicap match with Taker vs. Heindenreich and Heyman. Paul went nuts and Heindenreich assured him that he had it. This segment was Heyman’s without a doubt.
I saw Angle’s 30 second win over the “local” guy. Again that does nothing for me, but Kurt is definitely back as far as his out of ring character goes. And I’ll get into that in a little bit.
While I feel Daniel Puder needs to work on his mic skills I like the fact that he insulted Jackie in a backstage segment. As I said last week I’m glad he’s a heel and I would just like him to speak clearer and slower. But in time I think he’ll improve. Okay John Cena again had his Chain Gang behind him. But the creative team not Cena is giving him crap to rap. And put in Kenzo trying to rap and it makes for a long segment. Now had this all been shorter this might have worked, but I had a very hard time understanding Kenzo. I did notice that Suzuki shaved and he looked so much younger to me. Hiroko singing I believe a Beyonce song was funny but the interaction between Cena and Kenzo just didn’t end fast enough for me. I wish Vince would let John write his own material again, Vince is definitely missing the boat when it comes to this subject.
I liked watching Rob Van Damn with Rey Mysterio against Doug Basham with Danny. It looks like the Bashams are going to get another push and what better way to get things started then by having RVD opposite one of them. This match had action in and out of the ring. With Rey being tossed out for interfering. And of course the Bashams did their old switcheroonie. But RVD looked good out there against Doug and like the cruiserweight match this was fast but good. And now for the highlight of the night. Kurt Angle meeting Amy Weber in her supposed locker-room. Earlier in the evening Amy told Kurt that they should meet and discuss Angle’s potential opportunities after the Royal Rumble. And Kurt was more than ready to have this meeting with her. So a little while later Kurt made a trip to her locker-room. Before he entered he took off his wedding band. You could see Kurt couldn’t wait to have this little get together with Amy.
After the break Kurt is sitting inside the locker room waiting, and he finally hears the showers run and carefully opens the door. Kurt then lights up and starts to remove his clothes. Watching Kurt struggle to get his shirt off is great and then the sex machine rubs his nipples. My God last night Kurt was really on. Kurt then removes his pants and just waits for the shower curtain to open. Kurt is already for Amy, but it’s Joy that appears and she screams and he screams then she screams and Kurt screams and Amy starts to run out. Kurt then tries to pick up his pants. He then starts tripping all over the place to try to calm Joy down. But he pulls her towel off and you see Kurt get a big smile on his face. In all of Kurt’s nervousness about the error a nude Joy is just what he needs. I’m telling you Kurt is making a great comeback. And he brought so much fun into my house last night that I want more. Joy runs right to her love Big Show. There’s Kurt trying to explain that things aren’t what they appear to be. But Show isn’t buying it.
Big Show runs after Kurt and they end up in the ring. Show and Kurt go at it, and then Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak run in and Show takes care of both of them, and then he gets Kurt with a chair shot. While all of this was good it couldn’t compare to Kurt Angle the WWE comedian. There was less of JBL this week but there was one short segment with JBL, Orlando Jordan and Amy all having a good laugh over the joke they pulled on Kurt. But the biggest joke was coming up next. It was Heindenreich and Paul Heyman against Undertaker. I am going to say right now Taker gave it his all last night. I cannot wait until Heidenreich is out of the picture at least out of this feud. For me it was all Taker last night. Oh and Paul Heyman. The man was a panic standing there as part of the tag team against Taker. For a while Heyman seemed safe Heindenreich was hanging in there, but that all changed when Druids came out with a coffin and a lot of smoke appeared. Heidenreich went nuts and while Heyman was trying to reason with him, he tagged Paul’s hand and he ran. Poor Paul he was now in that ring and it didn’t take long for Heyman to get Tombstoned by Taker. This match and the show worked for me.
Okay so Sunday God willing I’ll be back with my New Years Revolution picks. I have been getting quite a bit so far so keep sending them in. And remember I will answer all of your emails as long as I can use my computer.
