Well, for the first time in a while, the USA Network has regained the top cable ranking for the week of last week. Their showing of “Monk” brought them nearly 6 million viewers. For those of you who don’t know – the USA Network was the former home of WWE RAW.
As for WWE RAW, it scooped up the seventh and eighth spots on the Top Ten Rankings. The second hour of RAW scored a little under 4.4 million viewers while the first hour of RAW brought in about 15,000 viewers less. These numbers, while not great for WWE, do show that their recent turbulance in the ratings might be leveling out.
During the NFL season, it’s common for the RAW rankings to be all over the map (sometimes with only one show garnering any ranking at all). However, once the NFL season ends (or Monday Night Football, at least), RAW usually starts to hit a stride, as you can see in these latest rankings. My presumption is that we’ll see a steady rise in RAW’s ratings – that is unless shows like American Idol, The Apprentice, or even My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance are put up head to head against it.
And for those of you wondering – Spongebob pulled in the number 6 spot while MTV’s The Real World took in 4th and 7th spots. Sex in the City took the number 2 spot while a Lifetime movie came in 3rd. Other Nickelodeon shows filled out the rest of the Top Ten.
