There is greater concern among management, colleagues, and Kurt Angle Himself than at any time since before Wrestlemania last year regarding whether his neck really will be able to handle anything close to a full time , full impact schedule once he returns from his recent neck surgery. The repair surgery he had instead of fusion surgery earlier this year isn’t the miracle everyone was hoping it would be. Therefore the more serious fusion surgery may still be an option he chooses down the line. That would require he take a year off, as Edge and Lita, among others did. Angle suffered some complications after his neck surgery with blood clotting, but he’s still scheduled to return in January. Everyone agrees it will be wise for him to eliminate some of the harsher moves from his repertoire to save wear and tear on his neck, even if it means sacrificing some of his suplexes and the overall intensity of his matches. Colleagues say that may finally be sinking in with him. There id even talk that his neck is so bad that a return to a regular schedule even after fusion surgery is nothing close to guaranteed.
