Officially added to the K-1 New Year’s Eve show is David Khakhaleichivili vs. Yoshihiro Nakao. Added to the Inoki show is New Japan’s Masayuki Naruse vs. Jan “The Giant Blob” Nortje. Not officially announced, but probable at this point on the Pride show are Gary Goodridge vs. Don Frye and Akira Shoji vs. Murilo Ninja. For the Inoki show at this point there is a 70% chance of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Yuji Nagata.
UPW will be doing monthly shows at its gym in Los Angeles for $5 starting on 1/10 with Mikey Henderson vs. Skulu and Frankie Kazarian vs. The Miz plus Ballard Brothers. The company’s 5th anniversary show is 2/20 at the Grove in Anaheim with Ken Shamrock vs. Predator as the main event plus an appearance by Jimmy Snuka.
The WWE’s new CD with the wrestlers singing their music is mentioned on RollingStone.com, making a joke out of it.
