There have been a few juicy rumors going around this week. In fact so juicy I can’t wait to talk about them. The cool part is each one seems like they could happen, in fact they seem more fact than fiction. These are rumors that are not about wrestlers upset, or guys or women causing problems backstage. No, these rumors are about future storylines and even future trades. So let me get right on to the latest, and biggest rumors going around.
Okay the first rumor is The Undertaker will be going back to Raw to take on Kane. And not only take on Kane but come back as the DEAD MAN, the man from the DARK SIDE. And not only that, but also this Kane, Undertaker match will take place at Wrestlemania XX. Now I don’t know how you feel, but I see it as a hell of a move. I was hoping the Shane McMahon, Kane feud would be HOT. But it’s not even luke warm. For some reason this thing between Kane and Shane really never took off, and it’s not for a lack of trying. Shane put on a nice match along with Kane at SummerSlam, and the car accident Shane planned came off well. But with all the hyping of it, it just seemed to die. Kane came back with bruises, bruises that just didn’t seem quite as dramatic as you would expect from a near fatal car wreck. Then last week after Shane beat the hell out of Test; Shane took time out for a very bland promo directed at Kane who was standing on the ramp. This was all to get us excited about their match at the Survivor Series, but it really didn’t work. See it’s going nowhere. With the latest rumor of Taker coming back as the deadman and going after Kane you have no idea how much I’m looking forward to their match.
Now if Taker is going to go back to his very popular character how will it happen? I’ll tell you how, here’s the next rumor, Vince wins at Survivor Series. Yeah Vince buries Taker alive with the help of STEPHANIE. Stephanie is supposed to return and help her father beat Taker at the pay per view. This will then send Taker away until things get going for his feud with Kane that’s set for Wrestlemania. Now remember this is not set in stone, just a MAJOR rumor going around. So let’s see we have Taker coming back from the Darkside. A big match at Wrestlmania between the “two brothers,” and Stephanie I guess coming back as a heel. I would say things are definitely looking up. I really feel Taker’s character has gone stale. He’s done all he can with it, so why not bring him back as a character that was loved by so many fans? I’m hoping if this is true, the Deadman will bring back the fans that left because they missed the Undertaker from the past. And as far as Stephanie goes, truthfully I’ve been waiting for months for her to swerve us all and turn heel, so I could see her coming back and at the last minute helping her father out.
The next rumor, which came out this week is, Mick Foley and Triple H for Wrestlemania. Supposedly Hunter would very much like a match with Foley at WM. I know Foley has made comments that he could see himself wrestling at that pay per view, and Triple H and Foley have that instant chemistry. Just the short time Foley came back this summer and interacted with Hunter, you could see it was a total success. I know that there is no way their match can be as good as their 2000 Royal Rumble Street Fight was, which by the way is one my favorite all time matches. But if Hunter can finally be close to 100%, and Mick starts working out this is one match I would love to see Also another match that is supposed to be made for this big pay per view is Goldberg vs. Lesnar. Yeah rumors have it that they will have crossover matches for the show. So I’m thinking, hey you have Taker vs. Kane, Hunter vs. Foley, Goldberg vs. Lesnar, what about Steve Austin vs. Chris Jericho? Again it’s going around that Austin would like to wrestle at WM XX, so wouldn’t a Jericho, Austin match but perfect?
And for the final rumor of the week, although some say this is definitely true. Matt Hardy is going to Raw to feud with Christian over Lita. From all I’ve read it’s a done deal, but until it’s on Raw it’s still just a rumor. And added to this is, Rob Van Dam going to Smackdown. Again a move that would be the thing to do. RVD could face new opponents, like Cena or even Tajiri, just to name a few. I think Smackdown would fit RVD like a glove.
So there you have it some of the hottest rumors going around on the net this week. As far as I’m concerned each one can happen and I would be thrilled. All right it’s on to Raw with the main event already set up. Shawn Michaels vs. Mark Henry. I have no idea what to expect but with Shawn in there it should be interesting. I also have a feeling HBK will be named to Austin’s team for the Survivor Series tomorrow night. I look forward to a strong Raw to hype things up even more for the pay per view that’s coming up in two weeks.
