Friday I mentioned I might have some surprising things to say about tonight’s No Mercy. What I meant by that is, I really did not expect to order the show. But after watching Smackdown on Thursday night, I am leaning and I mean leaning toward getting my order in. I’m not 100% sure about this yet but watching it tonight is a possibility. Okay now you know that I don’t like blowing my own horn, but I’m sure most of you remember that I got every one of my Unforgiven predictions right last month, EVERY ONE! I’m rather obnoxious aren’t I? In all seriousness I have to gloat about that because that won’t happen tonight. While many of the matches are a given, there’s a few that I’m not quite sure about. Again I got some nice predictions emailed to me from so many of my readers. Thank you I love seeing just how close yours are to mine. Okay here are my picks for tonight.
Matt Hardy vs. Zach Gowen
This one puzzles me; I don’t remember any build up for this match at all. I know months ago these two were feuding but all of a sudden this match is made. I expect this to be good; it’s nice to see Matt Hardy back on pay per view for a change. I know Zach will give his ALL, and I also know Matt Hardy will win, well I don’t know that but I’m going with Matt.
Winner: Matt Hardy
Chris Benoit vs. A-Train
A-Train may not be the guy I would put against Benoit but here’s another match that’s going to come off very well. Benoit is a workhorse, so I see Albert really picking up his game just to keep up with Chris. I’m picking Benoit to win.
Winner: Chris Benoit
Tajiri vs. Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Title
Does anyone think this could be one of THE top matches of the night? I definitely do. Yeah watching these two will be pure enjoyment. Mysterio will be taking a lot of stiff shots from the Japanese Buzzsaw, which just makes this even more fun to watch. Tajiri I believe will hold on to the title. I say this since Tajiri hasn’t had it too long, I really hope he remains champion.
Winner: Tajiri
John Cena vs. Kurt Angle
I’m picking this match to be the match of the night. There’s not much else I can say about Cena and Angle. I feel Cena is going to win which will make him look like he’s ready to move up and start going for that WWE title. But I don’t think this will end the feud. Kurt’s loss will only make him want Cena at Survivor Series.
Winner: John Cena
Eddie Guerrero vs. Big Show U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP
This match was one match that I was totally against. And one of the reasons I had no desire to order the show. But after seeing the brutal beating Eddie took from Show Thursday night, how can I not see Eddie cheat to win and even up the score with the big man?
Winner: Eddie Guerrero
Stephanie McMahon vs.Vince McMahon I QUIT MATCH
I still feel very strongly about this match. I’m totally against it. Having a father manhandle is daughter is in such poor taste. I hope this match is a quick one and that it comes off a hell of a lot better than it sounds. From all that is being said Stephanie is leaving for her wedding and honeymoon to Triple H, so I guess Vince wins. Well let’s face it, I can’t see him losing and not showing up, my God he couldn’t live without being on TV. I will go with Vince, but you just know Steph will return, she’ll find a way.
Winner: Vince
Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
This biker chain match is going to be as violent as they can make it. Because of this, I think it’s going to come off pretty damn good. Taker seems to shine on pay per views, and Brock I can just seeing working his ass off. Brock will retain probably with Vince’s interferance but the match will be won by Brock.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
See how can I not order this show? The good matches outweigh the not so good ones. You know what? I won’t keep you in suspense anymore, yeah I’m ordering it and on Tuesday I will talk about it with Raw. For those of you that will be watching it tonight, ENJOY!
