ESPN claimed the number one cable spot during the 9/8 – 9/14 period with over seven and a half million viewers. Coming in a distant second was Sex in the City with a little less than five and a half million. And to round out the top three, HBO’s Carnivale took in a little more than 3.6 million viewers that week.
The second hour of WWE RAW hit the charts at number 7 for the week with a total of 3.2 million viewers while the first hour of RAW came in at number 12 with just over 3 million viewers.
Numbers like these are normally taken as good news during this time of the year. As you all know, the stiff competition from the NFL and the opening of the Fall television season always has an impact on WWE ratings in one form or another. Though, this week’s RAW rating stayed steady in light of Monday Night Football.
