Here is a recap of The Undertaker making a RARE appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Jimmy announces that his cousin Sal is returning from injury to face The Undertaker. They show footage of when Goldberg was on the show and split Sal open during their pillow fight and that he has conquered his fear of injury to face Taker tonight. Jimmy says that The Undertaker is backstage taking shots in preparation of the fight. About a half hour into the show, before the next commercial, Jimmy says that coming up next, from the WWE, the man who may possibly kill his cousin Sal, The Undertaker.
Back from commercial break, Jimmy with guest host Horatio Sanz, says his next guest doesn’t play well with others. They show footage of highlights of his match with John Cena on Smackdown. Jimmy says he’s been beaten unconscious, set on fire, and that he has a match with A-Train this Sunday at SummerSlam. Jimmy points out that Taker’s a very large man, huge even. “Huge show, huge man”, Taker responds. Jimmy asks what he prefers to be called, The Undertaker, or Undertaker. He says to just call him “Taker”. Jimmy asks Horatio if he watched wrestling when he was younger and he said yes. Jimmy says that Taker looked different years ago. Taker says that he reinvented himself since then. He also says that it will be 13 years in November that he has been in WWE. He says he has to stay fresh. Jimmy thinks he’s just about done with getting tattoos. Jimmy shows a picture of A-Train, and Jimmy says he’s very, very hairy. Taker says he’s in a summer sweater, which got laughs. Jimmy says he could conceivably wrestle naked. Jimmy asks that instead of wrestling this Sunday, they should get in the ring, hug, and go out for dinner. Taker says no, and to look at the picture. Taker says he doesn’t want to hug that. Taker says he’s worried about his match with Sal, and that Sal’s been in fights with Stone Cold and Goldberg so it’s some tough competition. Jimmy says that this is real fighting with Sal, not the pretend wrestling he’s used to. Jimmy asks when his last pillow fight was and Taker said at about 4, so he might be rusty.
After the next guest, Jimmy says that something spectacular is coming up next, time for the pillow fight featuring cousin Sal and The Undetaker. Four months and 16 stitches ago, Sal had a fight with pro wrestler Goldberg, and that against doctors orders, he’s fighting Taker. The rules, as laid down by Kimmel, are that only pillows can be used, no grabbing. They must stop at the whistle and that everyone in the audience must attend Sal’s funeral after the fight. Sal comes out with 2 pillows and a Pillow Fighting Championship. Sal thought he was fighting the gay undertaker from 6 Feet Under, but he’s fighting the gay Undertaker from WWE. Fight starts with Sal getting in lots of good shots while Taker slowly hits, taking limited swings. The pillows get tangled. Kimmel blows the whistle. Who wins? Kimmel asks the audience and the cheer a little louder for Sal than The Undertaker, so Sal wins the fight. Shakes Taker’s hand then hits him in the back.
Kimmel asks if Taker’s mad, he says no, he gets even. Jimmy says that he’ll show Taker where Sal is after the show. Next guest is a comedian. Commercial break. When they come back, Jimmy thanks The Undertaker and plugs SummerSlam this Sunday. Show ends with a food fight in which Taker takes part in. Great promotion for wrestling. Taker was a great guest and was very personable.
