As you know, WWE announced that they’ve ended their agreement with Roddy Piper. Although the wording was a little complicated, the basic reasoning was that WWE was shocked with what Roddy Piper said on the Real Sports special, and decided to end their deal. Additionally, the note on WWE.com also mentioned that Piper being on WWE TV was a “negotations in progress” type of deal, so this means such negotiations are over.
It has been said that Roddy Piper really didn’t fit into the lockerroom and kept to himself backstage. His character also wasn’t really over to the extent that I’m sure both he and WWE hoped it would be upon his return. In any event, the staff of this website would like to wish Roddy Piper the best of luck in future endeavors.
