– To update everyone on why WWE had part of Kane’s hair come off with the mask as an attached wig Monday night, but not when it came off a few months ago, the reason is that WWE wanted to sell the permanent damage from the ‘burns’. Since the makeup job could not be done to perfection, being that they could only do something that would not get ruined in the ring, they had to just smear some black paint for a burn-effect. Many felt this came off a little weak, but WWE really had no choice, and was forced to also have some of his hair “burned off”.
Additionally, WWE’s work on Kane made him pay quite a resemblance to his storyline brother, Undertaker. It appears that the makeup actually worked with Kane’s face, giving him a look similar to Undertaker in his deadman gimmick.
