Well folks, it’s a nice November day outside and I am feeling REALLY refreshed! I have been on hiatus here and there…updating when I have the time and I plan on continuing that schedule, but I also plan on having a lot more time on my hands. October has been a really rough month for me from everything from my credit card debt to my scholastic schedule to my automobile to my friends back home. However, I’m going to turn this whole thing around. I’m going to make the best out of a shitty situation and I’ll be back stronger than ever by the time the holidays come around. I’m taking on this monster “heel” called life head on!
On the wrestling front, an article written in the New York Times details the fact that Vince McMahon himself has publically spoken out against the PTC and specifically Brent Bozell. The article included little snippits of information like “McMahon is saying more than half the companies on the list were never advertisers to begin with – and threatening legal action.” Well all I have to say is it’s about damn time that McMahon and crew has stepped up to the plate and taken down this trivial PTC group. The entire entertainment industry knows that McMahon is one of the best showman and one of the best arguers of our time. If anyone counts McMahon and his baby, the WWFE, out of this battle, then they are sadly misled. A report on the article can be read at this link. And again, it’s about damn time.
In case you haven’t heard, RAW won the ratings war once again with a 5.0 to NITRO’s 2.4. Good to see that Ric Flair is back on the top of the WCW.
Another positive situation for the WWF as a corporation has to be the dismissal of the Owen Hart wrongful death case from the Hart Family. An agreement was reached between the two groups a few days ago and now the agreement states that the WWF will take on the company that rigged the device to lower Owen to the ring. We can only hope for the best in this one.
Now, although the WCW is ages away from making the ratings war a battle again, I will say that they have a positive future ahead of them. With the youth of their roster finally getting a type of pop with the fans, there is hope that the New Blood will actually start to take over the main event and mid event spots on the card. With both Vince and Linda McMahon confirming that there have been talks about a WWF buy out of WCW, there have been murmors in Titan Towers from current WCW employees wondering what it is like to work for the conglomerate known as the WWF. The biggest names that I’ve been told of include Diamond Dallas Page and Sting. However, there is a feeling that if this buy out ever comes to fruitition, that the ECW would become not only the biggest indy fed out there, but that they would over take the current position of the WCW as the number two group in American wrestling. Not just because of their current roster, but because of the fact that many of the people in the WCW may not be welcome in the WWF locker room. Personalities such as Madusa, Shane Douglas, Tony Schiavonne, Mark Madden, and Lex Luger may find it difficult to acquire employment with the WWF. However, Vince McMahon knows how to play his cards and you never know what he might do.
The situation surrounding Bret Hart has been brought up to me in the past few days. My feelings are basically that of the situation that Bret described. He was being treated unfairly and being misused by the WCW and a return to the WWF would not even be thought of at this point in his career. The best thing for Bret to do is as he says in his retirement monologue…give his body a rest. We all know that he deserves it. So to one of my favorite wrestlers…thanks for the memories!
The situation regarding the British Bulldog is worsening by the day. Not only has he been arrested for death threats, but there is talk that he might be at the end of his days on the WWF payroll. Apparently the WWF is trying to alleviate what they would refer to as dead weight on their roster. However, there has been a feeling of sympathy towards the Bulldog and his entire family so the WWF has been trying dearly to help him out in his time of need. Look for more on this situation in the coming weeks.
It should be noted that just as the WCW web site is starting to get fun again, the WWF site is just all out amazing. From their superstars gallery to their little pumpkin in the corner of the main page just to say Happy Halloween, the WWF site is among the best in sports entertainment, period. Great job by all of those involved in this site and its always up to date content!
That’s what I got, I’m beginning to push this AllAdvantage program again simply because I see so many of my friends around me getting paid by them and I used to even get a check from them myself! All you do is have a banner on your desktop window while you browse and they pay you…it’s kinda odd, but their “Viewbar” does have many great links on it, including the WWF. Click below to find out more!
Thanks again! Bye!!!
