The rumor heading around the WWF is that the management is beginning to listen more to the wrestlers rather than the bookers. I do not find this rumor to be at all relevant as the WWF is notorious for letting their employees know that it is McMahon and company’s way or no way at all. Recent rumors of wrestlers such HHH, X-Pac, and The Rock being sole dictator over their storylines should be disregarded. The only person in the WWF who has just about sole discretion over his storylines is Steve Austin and that is only because his neck is too fragile for a mere writer to put into action. Austin has to be the final say as far as his health is concerned.
As far as Scott Hall coming to the WWF, I think that negotiations with him might be put on hold for a while seeing as how Linda McMahon confirmed that the WWF has been in talks with the people at Turner over a buyout of the WCW. Look for a final word on the WWF/WCW deal to emerge in the coming month of November. There are still a barrage of minor twists and turns that the WWF and WCW teams have to debate as far as revenue, liscencees, situatating of wrestlers, and placement of non-wrestling talent after the buyout. As far the rumors of the WWFE pulling out of the deal, remember that we are talking about Vince McMahon here…the biggest opportunist on God’s green earth. And what an opportunity, to buyout your number one competitor…
I am still rocked over the loss of Rodney “Yokozuna” Anoia. One of my all-time favorite wrestlers, a member of my all-time favorite tag teams (he and Owen), and a great guy. Wow.
Bye!!!
