Hey everyone! I have been away for a while getting this college thing down pat again (is it just me or is the second year a LOT more fun than the first year?). I haven’t been completely away from the internet though. I did happen to run by WWF.com and notice that Austin and Debra got married last week! Congratulations to both of these great people! Now, the question has to be begged that when Austin makes his PPV return on the 24th, will that be the return of Debra as well? From what I heard, apparently so!
One of my longtime internet friends recently approached Ted DiBiase about a return to the WWF. Basically, my friend didn’t get a clean cut response, but he was able to get out of the million dollar legend that he is not looking to become a big name in either of the big two right now and that he was approached by some other wrestling companies (I would assume ECW and the NWA) about making appearances at some of their shows. I have been a big fan of DiBiase and I still think that he could make a return to the WWF and have a good role in the company as an interviewer or even a manager of sorts. Although, with the lack of managers in wrestling nowadays, it might be hard for the new age wrestling fan to accept DiBiase in this type of role. I will be trying to get more information from my friend on this subject in the coming days.
The latest that I heard about Tank Abbott was that the WCW officials were highly considering putting him back into the WCW Power Plant to work with the veterans. Tank has had a pretty big array of personas going from the hardass, to the smart ass, to the 3Count follower and just about everything in between! I have been told that the WCW is going to drop the whole “UFC Toughman” monicher because there is just no room for that type of push in professional wrestling. To be honest, the best type of role for Abbott in the WCW nowadays is a bodyguard type of role. Russo should get a bodyguard, right?
