In his long and glorious career, Ric Flair has won too many world titles to keep track of, he has walked the aisle countless times, he has entertained fans around the world…but he has never taken a beating as brutal as the one he received on Nitro at the hands of the nWo.
Eric Bischoff was supposed to be Flair’s chaffeur for the evening, but ended up driving Flair right into an nWo trap. Members of the nWo attacked Flair and brutally beat him to a pulp, kicking and stomping him until Flair was unable to respond.
They left him for dead, but with the help of a local resident, Flair was able to make his way to the Fairgrounds before the end of the show.
Flair was once again on the short end of a brutal beating, as members of the nWo fought off Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko as they came to Flair’s aid.
It had been shaping up as a good night for the Horsemen, as Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko won two matches in the World Tag Team Title Tournament.
Ric Flair has never been so beaten and battered, and his match with Hogan is only days away. Will Flair be physically able to compete? Will he be able to recover enough to go through with the match? Those questions will be answered at SuperBrawl, but knowing Ric Flair, he’ll be ready, and he’ll be out for blood.
Flair wasn’t the only legend left laying by the nWo on Nitro. Roddy Piper was on the verge of beating Hollywood Hogan in an impromptu match, when Scott Hall came to the ring with his tazer and used it to incapacitate Piper.
