Again, look for a blockbuster RAW tonight. I have a few things about RAW…
It is the obvious notion to suspect that the Pitbulls will be the mystery tag team, however, how many times have we suspected one thing and gotten another? TOO MANY! So if the Pitbulls are not in the ring tonight, there are a host of other teams that we could see. Teams like the Arabian Butchers, Godwinns, and Quebecers come to mind, but there is something else brewing here…
It is expected that Terry Funk will announce that his brother Dory, who runs the WWF’s training camps, is his new tag team partner. Who else is better to participate in a chain match? A chain match…maybe Chainz has a buddy that he will team with against the DOA. Or not!
Oh, in regards to the few rumors hanging around the web about Chainz getting fired and then re-hired with help from the Undertaker, Ha HA! Someone had a little too much time on their hands! He was never fired and has always been on the good side of McMahon. To all of those who have no news to report, don’t make up stuff. Chainz may not be on screen for a while due to lack of heat, but he is not fired. He maybe in the PROCESS of being let go, but NOT fired, yet. I hope that that came out right…
Some people have asked me what I think the ratings will be tonight. Well, I think that NITRO will come out on top by more than a .2 margin, but expect for tonight to be a night to remember for both shows. I’m not anti-WWF (far from it!), but I think that the sure bet is with NITRO. For wrestling’s sake, let’s hope that I’m wrong!
I will be going to a charity show on June 6 @ 7:00 PM at the Morris Knolls High School in Rockaway, New Jersey. If anyone lives in this area, please think about attending the show as it benefits children. I will be on hand and I expect to see the usual crew there. Normally there are wrestlers like the One Man Gang, the Wild Samoans, Doink, and the independent stars. I’ll let you know if any other names will be there.
There is news that Flair is going to go postal tonight on NITRO. It has been a while since he threw one of his fits. I love those fits! He starts to strut, stroll, rock, roll, style, and profile! WHOO!!!
Dave Meltzer reports that Vince has laid an offer on the table to the Outsiders. Something about $1.5 million per year. I have heard many rumors like this, but this one comes from Meltzer…ohhh…Well, apparently, Vince knows that Nash and Hall are not going to give it all in the WCW right now so he wants to use their talent before they lose it.
I’ve tried to avoid the whole Savage/Sting thing, but here it goes. Savage will face Sting at the PPV. There may be a run in before the match that lays Savage out and puts Nash in the main event. If this does not happen, some say that Savage will win the title, but have to forfeit it due to his knee problems. I don’t really know what is going on, but I know that there is a main event at the PPV with someone who doesn’t speak facing a guy with a bad knee. Right?
Rumors that the WCW is bringing in Techno Team 2000 as a tag team. I don’t know…
