We New Yawka’s (a la Vic Venom) will get to host SummerSlam in August. Early speculation says that the WWF is using this as a counter-attack on WCW acquiring the Nassau Colosseum. Kind of like, “mine is better than yours is”!!! Nany-nany-poo-poo! Sorry for that…
Now, even Scoops is saying that Jerry Springer will be at Wrestlemania in an announcer capacity. God, I hope so! The guy is great!
Let’s think my fellow fans…Sting was just about to get into a feud with Hall. Hall has checked himself into rehab. Piper is returning tonight on NITRO with a challenge. Sting has no competition right now (per say). Piper has no competition right now. Hmmm…maybe just wishful thinking.
Some sites are reporting “confirmed” news that Dennis Rodman will be back this summer in the wrestling ring. I have not received official news, but I would expect it to happen as the WWF is going to get the biggest buy-rate of all time off of Wrestlemania. The addition of Rodman to the nWo again should result in big numbers as well.
King Kong Bundy wrestled in an NWA show this past weekend. Vince has already expressed interest in having him join the NWA-WWF and starting a feud with the WWF’s big men like Vader and Tenta (whenever Tenta shows).
There are rumors abound that after the Nation of Domination breaks up, Kama will return to the Papa Shango gimmick and jump into the Undertaker/Kane feud. I would love to see this happen as it can mean nothing but good for the WWF.
After receiving advice from Hulk Hogan, the Giant has decided NOT to sign with the WCW as of yet. He has been offered a big three-year deal from Bischoff, but did not sign right away as he was told to wait for Vince McMahon’s offer. So, Vince, you’re up!
One of my sources INSISTS that Yokozuna will be in the WCW. He claims to have read it while in the WCW offices. I continually tell him no, since he is not in shape and he is VERY loyal to the WWF. Well, just thought I’d report it.
